Description: V-rings are axial seals that mount on a rotating shaft and seal against a housing. They are made of rubber and comprise a body and a V shaped conical lip. Because the V-ring is rotating, it acts as both a seal and a flinger, deflecting away any foreign liquid or materials from the sealing face.   

Applications: V-rings are commonly used throughout the power transmission and general industry in many diverse applications; they are particularly suited to some heavy engineering applications such as steel rolling mills because of the ease of replacement which often does not entail a machine strip down. V-rings can be replaced on site by using a divided V-ring that is then glued or vulcanised in situ.
