Description: X-rings, also known as a Quadrings, are as the name suggests, a four lobe seal design that provides more than double the sealing surface of a conventional O-ring. Less pressure is required to form an effective seal thereby resulting in less friction and longer service life. The X-ring is much more stable in the groove and resist the tendency to roll or twist. Sizes are specified by the inside diameter and the cross-section diameter (thickness).

Applications: X-rings are commonly used throughout the hydraulic and pneumatic industries where an O-ring is not suitable due to either too high or low pressure in the application. They are used in many diverse engineering applications in both a static and dynamic form. Whatever the temperature, pressure or media requirement, there is usually an X-ring to cover the application.
